NEW TAX CREDIT GUIDELINES
In the summer of 2016 the Governor of Arizona signed SB 1216, raising the limits on your AZ State allowable tax credit deductions. They have doubled for gifts to qualifying organizations like IMPACT of Southern Arizona. The new maximums for individuals are $400 and $800 for couples beginning 2016. SB1217 also passed, allowing you to contribute until April 15th, and select the tax return to which the credit will be applied. This buys you a bit more time!
DONOR WALL
We are so excited about the new tax credits guidelines that we have decided to create a new donor wall, to recognize donors who choose to help people in need within our own backyard. This will include all donors for 2016 and moving forward, giving a gift of $500 and above. Giving levels will be designated by small squares, rectangles and large squares (see graphic below).
MAKE AN IMPACT IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Consider splitting your $800 tax credit gift to IMPACT this year: $500 by June 30th, as we wrap up our current fiscal year, which will help fund our summer programming; and the remaining $300 by December 31. A substantial gift will qualify you for our donor wall.
When you give to IMPACT you can feel good about donating to an organization that is fiscally responsible. Last year we had a perfect audit. With only 3% of the budget used to cover administrative expenses, your donations go directly to IMPACT programs. This is largely due to our wide variety of community partnerships. Our 240 plus amazing dedicated volunteers give generously of their time each week, allowing us to keep our overhead low and our team of hardworking staff small. However, having a small staff and low administrative costs has not hindered our ability to IMPACT people in a big way.
